Boudoir can be many things – Empowering. Freeing. Romantic. Liberating.
It can also be a powerful healing experience.
Many of my clients come to me after a transformational period in their lives. Maybe they’ve just had their first child and they’re learning to love their postpartum body, and maybe they’re just completed a weight loss journey and they’re excited to document their progress.
Other women may turn to boudoir for healing after a trauma. After all, it’s an incredibly intimate experience that requires you to be vulnerable and open, embracing every part of yourself.
Ms. L had recently experienced one of life’s greatest losses – the loss of her long-time life partner. During her session, she donned a pair of angel wings as an ode to her late husband. “The angel wings made me feel my husband who passed away recently was right there with me… the photos have such light rays shining on my soul.”
She cried during her photo selection appointment, overwhelmed by her emotions. “Boudoir was something I always wanted to do,” she said, “but I had no clue the emotions that would appear. It has been a long time since I felt so sexy and beautiful. It made me feel like the beautiful goddess I knew I was! I was just waiting to reappear again.”
