This guide is going to walk you through the process of what a boudoir shoot is and how the process works here at Amber ULeda Photography. I am. excited to get you in the studio! Once you read through this guide, you’ll be able to schedule your complimentary phone consultation and book your session over the phone with us!

Boudoir is technically a French word which means “A women’s dressing room or bedroom”, but we like to think of it as just a fancy word for women’s intimate portraiture. Boudoir can be fun, flirty, beautiful, classy, cute, sexy feminine, intimate, candid, posed or really anything you want it to be.

We want to help you feel beautiful now, just the way you are. We flatter you with hair and makeup styling, a wardrobe that compliments your figure, and amazing lighting and posing techniques to highlight your best assets. I do not believe in heavy photoshopping. Don’t get me wrong, we will gladly remove all of your bruises and blemishes, but we don’t want to over manipulate your body to make you look like someone you are not. We already live in a time where we are consumed with unrealistic bodies in the media, I want to show you that you are beautiful at this very moment.
"DO YOU OFFER HAIR AND MAKEUP STYLING?"
Yes, Girl! No boudoir session is complete without a bomb, photo-ready finish. I only hire the very best talent in our area to serve our clients with top level hair and makeup artistry.
Many of our clients tell us they rarely wear makeup, and/or they have no idea how to apply makeup for the camera. If this is you, then have no fear…we are going to take great care of you and create the makeup look that suits you and your personality best.
"WHAT WILL I WEAR?"
We have created a beautiful and comprehensive wardrobe guide that should give you the 411 on how to look and feel like a bombshell for your session. Our policy is always “when in doubt, bring it”. Most sessions will include 3 outfits, so it’s not uncommon for our babes to show up with a duffle bag full of stuff. From there, we’ll hang all of your pieces and discuss which ones will flatter you most. Feel free to leave tags on in case you’d like to return the ones you didn’t end up shooting in!
For our booked clients, we also have another guide that will instruct you on where to shop! We know the world of lingerie can be overwhelming so we do our very best to take as much stress off you as possible. It gives you direct links to all of our favorite lingerie retailers and what we love about them.

Full disclosure.. if you are looking for a quick roll around the bed and a handful of digitals sent to your email, we can help to accommodate that. But the truth is, our clients are here for a full day experience and want all day with Amber and the team. All of the staff here invest a significant amount of our time into each each of our clients to ensure that you have the most successful and custom tailored boudoir experience.
The process may seem overwhelming to some, but it is a true exploration of you as a woman. From self esteem, to sexual interests (i.e. whips, and chains anyone?) to learning to love your body at size it is.
Luckily for you, you’ve found us! Working with women and boudoir is all we do. You are in good hands with us and we’ll make sure that you don’t miss a single step.

I NEED MY IMAGES BY XX DATE, WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
Our studio books up 3-5 months in advance and our printed products can take up to 8 weeks for delivery. If you have a special occasion coming up or wish to book a holiday appointment, we recommend booking 4-6 months in advance of that date.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO SPEND AT MY REVEAL & ORDERING APPOINTMENT?
Before we have created your images, it is hard for me to give you an exact figure as to what to expect. Some women come to me and get a basic album, others come to me and want it all and invest several thousand on a variety of products. Our minimum purchase point is $999, but after that what you spend is entirely up to you.
CAN MY SPOUSE/FRIEND/MOM COME TO MY SESSION OR MY ORDERING APPOINTMENT?
We do not allow guests to be present for any portion of the time you spend with us. Our services are best delivered in an 1-on-1 atmosphere with your complete undivided attention.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET PRINTS BACK?
Digital Images will be delivered as soon as your image reveal & ordering concludes. From there, depending on what products you purchased, it can take up to 6-8 weeks for the album to be shipped to you.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BOOK?
The session retainer is $500 and 50% is required to reserve a space on our calendar. The remainder will be charged to the card on file 14 days later.

We offer a custom tailored experience for each of our clients and that process starts during your phone call with Stefanie. She’ll collect some information to create your client account and get you access to the client portal where you’ll find more resources to ensure a successful boudoir experience.
Stefanie will help you choose a date for your session based on our availability and any celebration dates you may be considering the occasion for.
